Eircom are discontinuing their text service as of the 30th of June.
This means that if you currently receive a text message from your alarm system when activation occurs, as of the 30th of June you will no longer receive text messages from your alarm system. The only exception to this is if you receive your text messages via a GSM unit.
What are my options?
RECOMMENDED OPTION
All control panels which have a text dialler fitted can be reprogrammed to contact a monitoring station. All your existing equipment will be used and you will only have to pay to have the panel reprogrammed.
Monitoring costs €0.55 cent per day and you will be invoiced directly for this service by our partner company Top Security.
This is our recommended option and is the only form of monitoring acknowledged by the insurance companies.

Alternative options
If you have a HKC 8/12 panel fitted we can remove the text dialler and install a standalone voice dialler in its place. This unit will use your existing landline to ring pre-programmed phone numbers.
If you have a HKC 8/12 panel fitted we can upgrade your panel to the current HKC 10/70 model and we can then fit a GSM unit to this so you can continue to receive text messages if required.
If you have a HKC 10/70 panel fitted we can reprogramme the text dialler to become a voice dialler. This unit will use your existing landline to ring pre-programmed phone number.
If you have a HKC 10/70 panel fitted we can fit a GSM unit to your panel and you can continue to receive text messages or voice messages as required.
